Class Information:
Room Number: 216
Students per Class: 40
Class Description:
I currently teach Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing. I am also the sailing team coach. My primary job however is Director of Technology and thus support and enable technology for all students, teachers, and administrators.
Position:
Dir. of Technology
Needs:
I try to squeeze a quarter's worth of value from every nickel that comes our way. Our school is successful because many of us work very hard to make it happen. We could always use money to upgrade software and hardware throughout the school. Our PC lab is 6 years old. The machines have been upgraded and reloaded with software at twice during this period. It's about time to replace them.
My Philosophy:
I work from a very clear set of written objectives in my courses. Students understand exactly what I expect and what is coming next. I believe every student can learn and will spend as much time and effort as it takes to achieve this outcome. From a classroom management standpoint, my philosophy is to exert the least amount of intervention necessary to correct a situation and keep things on track. Students understand that I am their advocate not their adversary.
