Class Description:
The Career Education Yearbook Class is a completely self-supporting enterprise. We publish a yearbook of over 300 pages, take all our own photos, and desktop publish using InDesign. We also create movies and slideshows for marketing, sell advertising, and compete on a national level.

Needs:
We buy our own computers (Macs), cameras and equipment with what profits we make. Some years this can be tough! Advertising sales can fluctuate, as can book sales. We could really use a hand to get our photo equipment up to speed!
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am in my 13th year of teaching, having previously worked in advertising and graphic design. I am also a published author and enjoy creating multimedia projects with my students.
College and Degrees:
I hold the following degrees: AA in Fine Arts, AAS in Graphic Arts, BA in Fine Arts, and MEd in Education, with certification in English, Art and Entertainment Marketing.
Activities:
I spend so much time with my group of students each year, but I also love to collect antiques, travel, create art, and spend time with family.
Favorite Books:
I read trade journals of course, to keep my technical skills up to date. I also love mysteries, and classic literature.

Interests:
Art, antiques, Mac computers, photography, movies, children, pets.

Why Do I Teach?:
I LOVE kids and I love to be able to teach such creativity and innovation. My class sees the fruit of their labors at the end of each year and it is such a wonderful sense of accomplishment for them, and for me.
