Our classroom is in need of updated technology. We are working with 1 student computer that is 10 years old, a television, DVD/VHS player, an overhead projector, and 1 teacher computer. So the need for technology is great in our classroom.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is to take every child and meet them at their level. I will do my best and give each child my best each and every day. I also feel that it is important for me to treat each child with dignity and respect so that they may flurish as citizens of the greater community.

About Me:
I am a Kindergarten teach at Lakeview Elementary in Ludington, Michigan. I love the outdoors. I try to bring my personal experiences back into the classroom for my studnets so that they can see what is out in the world waiting for them.
College and Degrees:
I have a B.A. degree in Elementary Education with Minors in Science, Language Arts and History from Olivet College.
I also have a Masters in Reading and Literacy from Central Michigan University.
Activities:
I enjoy spending quality time with my family. In my spare time I enjoy hunting and fishing. Basically spending time outside enjoying nature.

Employment History:
I have worked for Ludington Area Schools for 8 years. Two year I spent teaching 1st grade and 6 years teaching Kindergarten.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love interacting with children and it is a positive way to give back to my community. I love the challenge everyday in the classroom brings and to see the smile on a childs face when they grasp a concept for the first time.
