My Philosophy:
Technology closes the divide that is created by differences in socio-economic and educational gaps inherent in populations of under-served and transient students. Well thought out and focused use of technology in the classroom can excite and engage all students on many different levels, leading to success for all in science and mathematics.

I have been teaching for 13 years in the Ann Arbor Public Schools.
College and Degrees:
Eastern Michigan University. BS in Biology, minor mathematics. MS in general science.
Activities:
Birdwatching, canoing, hiking, reading.
Favorite Books:
The Stand, Stephen King Any Pulitzer prize winner for fiction.
Interests:
Polar science, Astrobiology, theoretical mathematics.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love biology and math and want my students to see the elegance of both in their everyday lives.
