I am the Technology Coach at DTMS. I work closely with teachers and their students to incorporate 21st Century Skills into their classroom instruction and activities.
Position:
Technology Coach
Needs:
Our school needs to increase access to technology for our teachers and students. Teachers need access to instructional tools and students need access to learning tools from the classroom.
My Philosophy:
With the vast amount of information our students have at their fingertips because of the internet and our ever increasing technological society, it is not enough that students can recall facts and figures or use algorithms. Our technological advances have also diminished borders between countries and created an interconnectednessthat reaches beyond politics and economics to our human experiences. Therefore, I believe the ultimate purpose of education is to create global-minded citizens that are able to respond to a changing world.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I believe every child deserves a chance to have a better life. I teach because I believe every child deserves a high-quality education. I teach because I believe every child can learn. I teach because I believe that through education we can preserve our democracy and create citizens that strive for a better world.
