Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
I do not have any way of projecting lessons. I do not have a smartboard and am forced to use an old overhead projector. It is impossible to share presentations using a PC without making arrangements with our media center to reserve one for a specific day. If the lesson day needs to be changed there is no flexibility.

Mount Airy, NC
Class Information:
Room Number: 38
Students per Class: 132
Class Description:
I teach three classes each semester of choral and drama students. We do not have an auditorium or stage and have an adequately large enough rehearsal room (which has doubled as a performance venue). I have mirrors, a dry erase board, a TV /DVD player and VCR. I do have two computers and printers (although not always in working order). We have desks and music stands. I have two old upright pianos and one digital keyboard. Our sound system needs updating and we do have a digital recorder and CD burner.
Position:
Choral and Drama Educator
Needs:
My needs are for projection projects and lessons. My drama and choral students need access to flip cameras and I could really use LCD projector. I was using an AverKey for PC projection of projects and it was broken over the summer.
My Philosophy:
As an educator I act as a facilitator who assists students who actively engage in the learning choice. Miine is an intuitive career. A keen awareness of each individual personality, learning modality, personal/family background, and readiness is a part of the ongoing daily process of growing the 21st century learners and leaders. Learning happens - hopefully, through careful planning, it happens regularly.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
It is a calling. Getting to share my passion for music and theater everyday in classroom of young people is the ultimate reward. Not many adults are so lucky to share daily in such a rewarding career.
