I teach general math for 8th grade and work really hard to make it fun and interesting and engaging for 8th graders who are amazing.
Position:
Math Teacher
Needs:
My hope is to create a more flexible room, so I am trying to buy a short throw projector that is very high quality along with a wall mount so that my presentations aren't blocked so often. I am also wanting to get an apple tv that I can connect to an iPad mini so I can walk around the room and be presenting from anywhere.
My Philosophy:
I believe in giving the student the ownership over the space. Allowing their culture to be embraced, and incorporate their voice in the classroom. I want to end the static classroom where seated, silent and proper earn you better grades. I want passion and excitement and realness to flow through my room.

You can always do more than you think you can. Whether you think you can, or you think you can't you're probably right.

Employment History:

Why Do I Teach?:
I feel passionate about being with and for people. That I was meant to help others. I teach because it is the only thing I see myself doing for the one shot at life I have. Education is the civil rights issue of our time, and I want to be a part of making the world into a world I am proud to have been a part of.
