Computer Literacy is taught from grades K-5. I see all students within a three day time span. All students are taught basic skills that are aligned with the Pennsylvania State Standards for Technology.
Needs:
Technology is growing in our district slowly. We have been given the basics (computers). It is my job to see that students understand the use and need for computers in the public work force. Students need to understand that computers are far more useful than playing games. My objective is to bridge the gap between school use and what is demanded in the public sector.
Since we have a good foundation comprised of new computers, I need financial help with complementing the program with much needed additions. My principal has given me the opportunity to teach an advanced computer course for those students that show sincere interest and are willing to give up their recess to do so. For students that are so willing and dedicated, I want to be able to provide them the best learning experience possible. You can't cook bean soup without the beans. I can't teach without the essentials.
