I teach STEM as a related arts class and I see every student in our school from grades K-4.
Position:
STEM Teacher
Needs:
We are in dire need of classroom technology - be it iPads, desktop computers, or laptops. The student technology at our school is shared among classroom teachers, but as a STEM teacher, I am not able to do any lessons using technology unless we do whole class, using my laptop and projector.
My Philosophy:
In order to give students the best possible chance at a successful future, we have to give them access to the tools to learn and make that happen.

About Me:
I have been a teacher for the last 17 years. 4 years as a classroom teacher, 11 years as a computer teacher, and the last 2 years as a STEM lab teacher. College and Degrees:
I graduated from Arkansas State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. I am presently enrolled in the Master's in Instructional Media program with a STEM Endorsement at Wilkes University (offered through Discovery Education). I am also presently earning micro-credentialswith a concentration in STEM through the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) Expanded Pathway Program.

I enjoy reading all types of genre (but I love thrillers). I love walking and spurts of running! I am an avid Pokémon Go player thanks to my 8 year old grandson who needed a partner! I enjoy traveling and listening to live music.
