Personal Information:
About Me:
I started learning piano and violin at a young age. I realized by my teens that music playing and teaching would be my career. I have taught various ages and groups, privately and in schools, for many years. So many recitals, big performances, rehearsals, songs, games, and trips that have created the most wonderful memories! Each year is a new adventure and a chance to be a better teacher and learner!

Walking the dog, gardening (or killing plants), going to concerts, reading books, hosting international students in my home, being a general busy body (trying to help people).

Favorite Quotes:
• "Sometimes when you lose you really win . . . like when you're playing musical electric chairs." - Stephen Wright • "It is better to lean into the stiff wind of opportunity than to hunker down and do nothing." - Gordon B. Hinckley • " . . . the eyes of my understanding were opened . . . "

Figuring out how to be the best teacher I can be, movies about awesome people from the past, history in general, playing piano, composing music.
Employment History:

Why Do I Teach?:
The deep desire and commitment to provide young people with the resources and experiences necessary to become caring and giving adults. Also - because music is incredibly fun!
