We have a terrific group of children with a wonderful blend of personalities, strengths (quirks too!) and energy with a desire to learn while making every day fun and engaging.

Needs:
Portable music player and a variety of easy-listening to songs (and classical) to use during our daily KBAR time (Kick Back and Read). We also use music during PE -- the kids love disco and my Elvis stuff :o) We would truly benefit from one of those digital whiteboards that the teachers can't say enough about. I've only heard the great things this gadget can do and how the children just love it! Learning can be so fun with the terrific products out there today.

About Me:
My name is Machelle and I've been teaching kindergarten and fourth grade for six years now. I used to be a school secretary for years before teaching. My husband and I have two terrific children that keep us busy with basketball, golf and cheerleading. My husband has been struggling with cancer for four years now -- we are blessed to have each day together as a family.

Why Do I Teach?:
My sixth grade teacher forever inspired me. The idea of showing children how learning can pave a path for their futures is so rewarding. It's amazing to see children having fun learning when they don't even realize that's exactly what they're doing -- learning.
