Personal Information:
About Me:
I am from Dadeville, Alabama and I spent my college summers working at Camp ASCCA (Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults). That is where I found my place in this world- working with children and adults with Special Needs.
College and Degrees:
University of Alabama 2006-2010 Bachelor of Education: Special Education
AuburnUniversity 2010-2012 Master's of Special Education: In Progress
Employment History:
Hueytown Middle School is my very FIRST job!
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach children with Special Needs because they are beyond amazing! For them to just get up and come to school can be a challenge some days. I feel that children with Special Needs are dying to be a part of the "normal" world. I want them to understand that there is NO "normal". I value their love, joy, and understanding of this world. I hope that I can touch their lives in half the way that they touch mine.
