Class Description:
We are open all day, every school day, for students to complete reseach, computer projects, online test, leisure reading, and for book check out/return. We also have scheduled lessons for each 5th and 6th grade class weekly, and bi-weekly for each 7th & 8th grade class. We teach a variety of skills which include, but are not limited to: Boolean searches, Internet Safety, Fictional/nonfictionalgenre, note-taking, copyright law, website evaluation, plagiarism, how to correctly cite sources, and online ettiquete.

Why Do I Teach?:
I chose to teach in the library media center so that I can encourage students to read and help them find books they enjoy reading. I also teach information literacy skills so that my students will be prepared to succeed in classes requiring research, research papers, and computer skills. The skills they learn here will impact their lives for many years to come. Even after 14 years in education , I am sill honored to able to influece so many lives.
