Position:
Science and Social Studies Teacher
Needs:
My students need 1:1 devices such as iPads to easily come into the distance return to learn plan developed under the pandemic of COVID19. Students are not able to team up with a partner but if we use Google Meet or Zoom we can group easily with teams partnered virtually. If the need arises, students can take their device home for virtual learning.
My Philosophy:
My Responsive Classroom Classical training creates a safe, challenging, and JOYful classroom. We meet together first with our team meeting. We move forward in our block of time to engage in science and social studies at the 6th grade level. Recognition of all students are unique and need that differentiation is paramount in the lesson's outcome.
Personal Information:
About Me:
Served in public education since 1999. I have worked within the gifted and talented programs as both a coach/teacher and district coordinator. I also have served students in SEL coursework and RTi needs. Teaching is a calling and a gift.
College and Degrees:
I have a B.S. in Elem., Ed. I have collegiate hours in a masters of Curriculum and Instruction. I have devoted myself to continued professional development above the "required" amounts.
Activities:
Home decor' and classroom mini home versions are a passion. I adore my five Gkids ages 8-4. We have a long lived marriage of 42 years. I enjoy studies centered around my faith and Scripture. I enjoy serving in the communities.
Favorite Books:
My faithfulness to Scripture brings me to my Bible. I enjoy biographies, real life drama, and other such nonfiction.

Interests:
Crafts such as hand work; crewel embroidery. Restoration of furniture using milk or chalk paints.
Employment History:
Service in public education since 1999. Prior I was a dental assistant trained at 16 through a personal interest of dentistry through a high school program.
