AM kindergarten class. We are an economically, culturally and socially diverse school. Our class focus is integration of curriculum and technology. We have been sharing a smartboard amongst the primary grades, as well as our projector and other technology tools. In the afternoons I work with ELL students who thrive with the being able to use technology in learning.

Our needs for technology right now are digital cameras and flash drives to store our pictures on. I am also looking into podcasting for my ELL and struggling readers (see lesson plan).

About Me:
I am a Kindergarten and ELL teacher. I have two dogs that I love to spend my time with. I enjoy going on walks and hikes as a family. My goal has been to integrate technology into the school day and curriculum. I have just been awarded a grant for a projector and document camera for our classroom!
College and Degrees:
I received my undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz in Environmental Studies and Biology. I received my teaching license from San Jose State University in Elementary Education and English Language Learner Education for K-12. I received my Masters degree from San Jose State University as well. My masters degree is in elementary education and instruction with an emphasis in critical thinking.

Why Do I Teach?:
To share my love of learning with as many children as possible. They are our future and if we teach them well now, they will all have a wonderful chance at success.
