Class Description:
I currently teach physical science. It is such a blast to see students connect with the world going on around them.

Needs:
Students spend hours texting, instant messaging, and surfing the web. As a generation X educator, I need to have technology in my classroom ready for students to use. It is imperative to use technology to connect with students and show application to the things I am teaching them. Learning about things in physical science really does fit in the world they live it.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy on education has always been, "Learning is something you do, not something you watch." Technology is the key to making that connection.

Favorite Books:
My favorite book of all time is the book My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I love to read. I really enjoyed the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer also.
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching is my second career. I spent eight years in the business world before venturing out to be an educator. I decided I wanted to go into education because I know that there is true power in learning and education. Knowledge is the key to making dreams a reality.
