Class Description:
I actually am a traveling teacher to two schools in the Waupaca school district. This year I am responsible for teaching 27 classes for 45 minutes a week. Next year I will have a total of 31 classes that I teach. I integrate computer lessons with the grade/classroom curriculum. I use a variety of software programs, the internet and digital storytelling for a variety of learning activities.

Needs:
I am really interested in learning how to do video podcasts with my students. I would like digital cameras, video cameras, tripods and microphones so that the students can work on this. I have garageband, iPhoto and iMovie to do the editing but I do not have the hardware to get started.
My Philosophy:
If not you, who? If not now, when? My hope is to make a positive difference in all students lives. Every lesson that I plan needs to be engaging to the learner and build confidence and thinking skills. If I can do this, then I have succeeded in teaching!

About Me:
I love technology and all of the positive things that it brings into our lives. I am a happily married mother of 3. I love to spend time outdoors gardening,camping,biking and kayaking quiet waterways. Currently I live in the country with my husband, daughter, an adorable shih tzu and 2 crazy cats.
College and Degrees:
I have my bachelors degree in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and my masters degree in Technology In Education from Leslie University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Activities:
I enjoy designing and updating websites for different organizations and businesses. I volunteer for many activities that are a part of my daughters life such as soccer, her musical, and the girl scouts.
Favorite Books:
Recently my favorite books are A Thousand Splendid Suns and Kite Runner. I also really enjoy all of Janet Evanovich's books.

Interests:
I like learning about the natural world. I enjoy surfing the internet and finding out as much as I can about the world around us. I have recently become interested in politics and universal health care and the upcoming presidential election.
Employment History:
I have taught for the last 8 years for the Waupaca School District at a variety of different schools some of which have closed. I taught kindergarten prior to taking the computer teaching position that I have now.
