Personal Information:
About Me:
I am orginally from Colorado and I moved to North Carolina specifically to teach. I was recruted to WSES by a wonderfu;, well respected principle and little did I know that I would find my second family here.
College and Degrees:
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in interdiscipline studies and a concentration in ethnic and gender studies. I am currently persuing my masters at the University of North Carolina in Literacy K-12.
Activities:
I love reading- adult and children's books. I also love going to the beach and relaxing whenever time is available.
Favorite Books:
City of Ember, Babysitter's Club, Poppy, and any others that intrigue my 3rd graders.
Employment History:
I have been teaching third grade for 4 years and prior to that I worked at Chuck E Cheese through high school and college.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love having the opportunity to make my students feel successful and making sure they know they are somebody.
