I teach one class of AP physics, one of Pre-AP Physics and 3 classes of Conceptual Physics. Our labs are very interactive, with an aim to foster independent thinking and reasoning skills in all my students. I supplement my classes with as much up-to-the minute examples as are available.
My classes tend to be about 50 % Caucasian, with 25% African-American,30% Hispanic and 15% Asian.
Position:

Needs:
My classes need 5 laptop computers with wireless Internet access, along with a wireless access point. We also need 30 TI-84 Silver Edition graphing calculators or their equivalent.
My Philosophy:
Science at all levels is FUN ! If I can help one student to see the magic that is in science and motivate them to maybe follow that magic, then I have accomplished what the Lord put me on Earth to do!

Why Do I Teach?:
I want to help students of high school age to appreciate what the world of physics means to them. With new technology springing up in all areas of our lives, I feel it is vital that our students understand the physical basis of technology and its strengths and weaknesses. In this way, our young people will be in a position to enjoy the advent of this technological world and, at the same time, be able to know what can be useful to them and what is harmful. Our students will be better able to protect their families and not be ripped off by the charlatanism of this world.
