All children can learn, but not all in the same way. A variety of modalities must be used to reach all children, and a teacher must have an understanding that children will "get it" at different times.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love watching children grow and learn. Every year is a different year. While I have taught for 43 years and have now been in the same school for 27 years, teaching mostly 1st grade and kindergarten, I have continued to study and learn and to apply new techniques to my teaching. We are now in a digital age only dreamed of in the comic books of my childhood. I never imagined I would become a part of the stories I once read!
