Special Education science classroom. All students are taught using a 1:1 method. Students are placed into materials at their functional level and ability. They are provided with the needed assistant to help them progress and succeed in a nurturing environment. Students work together weekly on various group projects that provide students with the social skills that they require. Many of our students have autism, aspergers or learning disabilitys and excel with hands-on or technology based assignments.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I enjoy being able to instill in my students the excitement that this world has to offer. When my students tell me how much they enjoy my class or our school it is such a rewarding experience. For many of our students this is the first good experience they have ever had in a school and I am so happy that i can be part of this.
