My school is located in the poorest part of our city. My students are wonderful people who want to create better lives for themselves and their families. I believe I serve them best when I have high expectations for them, for myself, and for my school. I also believe that given equal access to technology as their peers in the newer schools of our city, they can achieve great things.

Why Do I Teach?:
Because I can? I postponed going into education to try other things. I was miserable. I cannot say why I teach because it I believe, for me, it is a calling. I'm recharged every day, every class period by the kids. I'm addicted to this. I love what I do and want to do it better. I'm driven by my committment to giving these kids 100% everyday.
