This is a Business Technology class that currently is focusing on Keyboarding/DocumentLayout and Design.

Needs:
We are in need of an updated computer lab. We are currently using computers that are quickly become outdated for some of the projects that we are currently working on. Our dream would be to have a current computer lab installed.
My Philosophy:
In my current position as a teacher, I believe that I am able to encourage students to speak their minds while making sure they respect each other as well as the diversity of the fabric of American society. At the same time, I know that I have a lot of room for improvement and thus I feel the need for an advanced degree in teaching. I certainly know and hope that this degree would help me to go further in my career as a teacher but I also believe that it will be a wonderful experience which will equip me with greater tools than what I already have. I seek a real world understanding of teaching that will give me the correct methodology and understanding for guiding my zeal as well as my drive into concrete action. It is these actions which I feel will be of tremendous benefit to the students as well as my community.

About Me:
I am a lifelong "Memphian" having been born and raised in this great city that Elvis once called home. I attended a public elementary and high school and a private, liberal arts college here in Memphis.
College and Degrees:
Christian Brothers University-Bachelorof Science in Business Administration. I am currently in graduate school at the University of Memphis working on my Master of Arts degree in Teaching.
Activities:
Volunteer for the Humane Society, active in my church choir, travel, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Prior to teaching, I was a Banker for 15 years. I have been a teacher for 3 years.
Why Do I Teach?:
I have always respected the teaching profession and have believed it to be one of those fields which are actually responsible for the creation of our civilization as well as the world around us. It is teachers who encourage scientific thinking and ignite the spark of discovery amongst their students regardless of the subject they teach. This is what has always fascinated me about teaching since the teacher today functions as a mentor, a coach and guide for life for many of the brightest minds which are yet to make their mark upon the world. This is why I teach.
