Class Description:
Because we serve 5 and 6 year olds, our school is very child centered. BSLK is very clean and organized and is beautifully decorated with primary colors and inviting murals.

Technology is our greatest need. Students really respond to all types of technology and many do not have computers in their homes. Technology is exciting and appealing to children.
My Philosophy:
I believe that all children can learn! It is our responsibility as educators to create an environment that nurtures children and helps them to grow and become successful. We must have high expectations for ourselves and our students and we must always remember that we are role models!
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am married to my best friend, John, and have two daughters, Jaime and Jessica, and one son, Jay. I am "Mimi" to four precious grandaughters: Samantha, Lizzie, Ella Kate, and Lilah. We love to hike, camp, travel and spend time with family and friends.
College and Degrees:
BS in Early Childhood Education from Jacksonville State University; Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama; Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama
Activities:
We are active members of First Baptist Church, Albertville. I teach 5th grade Sunday School and preschool choir on Wednesday nights. I am also a member of the Adult Choir and serve on the Children's Committee. I love to read all types of books and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
