Current need is for a class set of tablets - chromebooks or ipads would be idea so that students could participate in discussions through gosoapbox and other platforms

Everyone can find success in my room, it may look different from student to student, but the opportunities are there.

About Me:
Born and raised in England, with soccer player a possible profession, I chose teaching. I taught for two years in England before moving to the states. I am not a citizen. After a semester at homested and one at Monta Vista, I have been teaching at Fremont since 1993.
College and Degrees:
B.Sc Biology - with emphasis on Genetics - University of Hull
PGCE - double distinction (Teaching credential)
Activities:
Up until age 40 I was immersed in soccer, playing an coaching. Multiple knee surgeries ended my career and I started doing triathlon. I have been involved in triathlon for over 10 years, competing in a range of distances including Ironman CDA in 2007. I currently coach triathlon and am trainging for Ironman Tahoe in sept 2013

Science Fiction, Fantasy: Too many to name or count including LOTR , but best ever? Black Company series.

Many over the years, but I often sign year books with my very own, very abstract quote "Never trust a ferret with a wooden leg and a glass eye".
Interests:
Hanging out with my wife, doing all the following: reading, riding, wine tasting, hiking, listening to live music.
