Position:
Math educator
Needs:
Some of my projects are 3-dimensional (Geometry) and I could REALLY used a document camera (sometimes called an Elmo). For example, I can teach Geometry vocabulary using Origami. Paper folds are best viewed using an Elmo.
My Philosophy:
Education is a cooperative effort - yes all students can learn and I am responsible for presenting new material in multple ways to engage various learning styles and intelligences. The cooperative effort of the student is the other side of the 'hand shake.' Many students have to be taught how to accept and manage their half of the bargain. I teach them to advocate for themselves in their learning - make me teach you in the way you learn - ask questions: about EVERYTHING.
