Class Description:
I have a variety of disabilities i.e. Emotional Behavior Disorders, Specific learning Disabilities, Mild Intellectual Disabilities, Other Health Imparied from 9th grade to 12th grade. 99% African American, 1% Caucasion and all boys. Some of my students are on probation and/or have served time in the Youth Detention Center.
Position:
Special Education Teacher
Needs:
I need books for my students as their reading ability is in the low range of 3rd or 4th grade. The students need to learn social skills and how to deal with change. Books: WhoMoved My Cheese for Teens 7 habits of highly Effective Teens Fish
My Philosophy:
If I teach these students to survive and believe in themselves they will be able to become productive citizens in their community, state and the world.
