Mrs. Mahar I just finifhed administering my annual tests for ESL. I can't wait to start my normal schedule and see my students on a regular basis again. YEY!! Mar 18, 2011
I am originally from Brazil. When I moved to the United States, at the age of seven, I did not know how to speak English. I struggled for several years to learn English and made an attempt to catch up academically with my peers. There were no English as a Second Language classes available to me at that time. Luckily, my parents spoke English and devotedly helped me perfect my English. With their love and unending support I was able to overcome my language barrier. As an adult, I knew there was nothing I wanted more than to give the same gift of time, passion, and devotion to other students struggling with English. Other than being a wife and mother, there is nothing else that gives me more joy and satisfaction than being an ESL teacher.
