Class Description:
My class is a 3rd grade Exceptional Children's class. My children are those who are somewhat low performing to those who are very low. I am so very proud of my children for working so hard to do well on the EOG Pre-Test. We have a variety of learner's but all like to use technology when given the opportunity. So that is what i am hoping for; is to be able to allow them the cahnce to use and learn more about technology and what it has to offer them. For most of these kids; the time they are at school is the nly time they have to work on a computer or much less use it to help in their daily studies.
Position:
Exceptional Children's Teacher
Needs:
We desperately need about 5 computer's and software to use with them. Since this is a new classroom we can use anything that might be useful to the children.

About Me:
I was a non traditional student who decided to retunr to college for the secon time in my life when i was in my thirties. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful 10 yr old daughter.
College and Degrees:
I currently hold an Associate degree in Fine and Performing Arts from Southeastern Community College as well as a BA in Sociology; while wroking as a lateral entry teacher.
Activities:
My first priority has to go to the Lord. I attend church with my family and after that i always enjoy spending some "mommy and me" time with my daughter. I am also a self employed Piano Teacher. I very much like to play and I enjoy singing as well!!

Why Do I Teach?:
i teach because I truly don't want to see any child left behind! I decided to teach because I had a bad experience while I was in grade school and I don't want to see any child fall through the "cracks" if I can possible help it. I want everyone of my studendnts to know they are special in their own unique way and I love them and God loves them and he did not make a nobody! I teach to watch the excitement in their little eys when they finally understand something or to hear the excitement in their vboice as they tell me about something that has happened to them. I teach to inspire; to look at their potential and see all the possibilities the world has to offer. i teach because I care! I want them to wish upon a star and reach for the moon and never ever let anyone tell them they cannot do it. I teach because i want to make a difference if only a fraction of a difference with each of my students. I teach because it is my destiny; and I was born to do this and do it well.
