This year I have the opprotunity to teach the 4th grade students at Jefferson Elementary School. I enjoy finding ways to integrate technology into my curriculum in order to keep students engaged and exciting about learning.
Position:
4th grade
Needs:
We are a low income school in a very rural town. They have very limited resources and there are no opprotunities to use technology in their home. We need to help them take advantage of that opprotunity while we have them at school. We need digital cameras and video cameras for podcasting and for creating projects using higher order thinking skills. We are also in need of projectors to help all of our students see lessons.

Employment History:
As a college student I worked as an Early Childhood teacher. During that time I worked with 3 year old children and then I taught Pre-K. I then moved to a private school in Grapevine, Tx where I taught Kindergarten. My next move was to a public school in Coppell, Tx where I taught 1st grade for two years and 4th grade for one year. I am now teaching technology in Winston-Salem, NC.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I want children to love learning and to understand that we should all be lifelong learners. I hope to encourage my students to continue their education and to constantly be looking for ways to grow. I want all of my students to love reading and I enjoy finding ways to encourage them to do so. I like finding ways to meet the needs and interests of all of my students.
