My classroom is a computer lab. I teach Computer Technology (basics of computers and MUCH more) and Video Production (where we film the student bulletin every day for school wide broadcast.)
Position:
teacher
Needs:
We have several digital cameras that we use for filming the daily news. With lots of student use, they take quite a toll on daily use. As a result, after several years of hard use, some of them only barely function. We are in desparate need of digital mini DV cameras. If we could get ones with hard drives, that would save us money on tapes.
My Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy is to open the door and let the student's minds go. They are so creative when given the open ended opportunity to make something that reflects them. I let them explore and learn within the parameters of the course curriculum, so they hardly realize that they are "learning"!
