Class Description:
The media center serves as a classroom for all of the students at Enochville Elementary School. Students are encouraged to read for enjoyment, knowledge, and understanding. I have tried to make the media center a warm and inviting place to come and browse the collection, read silently, share booktalks and other exciting activities.

Needs:
Enochville Elementary is trying to move forward in using technology in the classroom. Teachers and students are exciting about promethean boards, document cameras and other new equipment. At the present time we only have one digital video camera and would like to acquire 4 flip video cameras. Students would be able to use this equipment for a variety of classroom activities and projects.
My Philosophy:
Students need to be taught using materials /equipment that are relevant to them. Technology is a major part of their lives. Students are more engaged when they are actively involved in learning. Teachers have to stay on top of the changes in technology to be able to facilitate the learning process through the use of technology.
