Class Description:
I currently teach 4 different subjects. I have 11th and 12th graders taking AP Biology, 9th graders taking Honors Biology, 10th graders taking Low level Chemistry and Team Taught Special Needs Physical Science.
Position:
Science Department Chair
Needs:
I am in desperate need of AV equipment (at least 6 cameras) to help animate difficult processes for the student to learn. I love the FLIP video cameras because they are extremely user friendly for student of all abilities. I would like to also have tripods so that the students could use the cameras to do things like claymations of mitosis or animate the process in photosynthesis.
My Philosophy:
I teach to reach. It is my goal to make sure no child is left without understanding and mastery of the content in my class and that they walk out of my room with more than just book knowledge, they take with them life skills that will keep them progressing forward towards success.

About Me:
I am a teacher of 18 years. I have also given to the community doing environmental research with whales and sea turtles, working on environmental programs like Clean Sweep, tutoring for upward bound, vounteering at the Animal Shelter etc.
College and Degrees:
Graduate from SUNY Binghamton with a BS in Biological Sciences.
Activities:
Participate in the National Biotechnology Teacher Leader Program, Learning Focused School trainer of Trainers, Technology Mentor, Art, outdoor activities with my own kids.
