Class Description:
My current role at my school is the school counselor and reading intervention teacher. I interact with dozens of students daily while wearing my "many hats" that these two positions require.
Position:
Teacher/Counselor
Needs:
I have been wanting an IPAD to assist me with my many duties. I am constantly on the go during my school day and know that this single aid will keep all my notes, documents, and activities in one place. It will also give me extra tools to utilize within these many roles.
My Philosophy:
Through nurturing, listening, and guiding, every child can learn and grow. It is my job to see just how far they can go!

About Me:
I am a wife and mother of two. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have had many roles ranging from teaching preschool to teaching 6th grade and my newest endeavors include counseling!
College and Degrees:
I attended NC State, Meredith College, and McDaniel College where I received degrees in Child Development, Elementary Education, and School Counseling.
Activities:
I am very active within my school, assisting the PTA with needs that arise, lead a variety of school committees, and continue to stay active in my community.
Favorite Books:
Harry Potter books are my all time favorite!

I have worked in 4 elementary schools in the states of PA and NC. I have also worked in 1 preschool.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach to inspire young people to learn how to recognize and reach their fullest potential. I facilitate leadership skills so they can become independent citizens. I get the greatest joy out of helping a child through a problem or situation and in turn seeing that same child help a peer by using the same skills. Teaching is all about touching a child's life and making a lasting psitive impression.
