Irving Elementary School
Class Information:
Students per Class: 320
Class Description:
Irving School serves a culturally diverse, at-risk population. Our mobility averages 46% yearly with the majority of our students receiving free/reduced lunch. Many of our students do not have access to computers at home. Each class comes to the Library Media Center 60 minutes per week for library and technology skills.
Position:
Library Media Specialist
Needs:
I would like to involve students in more digital storytellling. We need newer digital cameras to replace our 14 year old cameras.
My Philosophy:
It is my goal to give our students the tools to create, collaborate, and compete in this fast-paced, technology diven world through real-life projects. These projects should teach them computer skills while introducing them to technology that will engage and enhance their learning.
