Needs:
Our school needs help updating our technology for the students. We have many students who speak a different language. They will be able to use the technology we are asking for to help them learn the English Language or provide extra support on assignments. We would like to have all of the students using the technology as much as possible.

Activities:
I have become a Promethean Trainer for Baltimore County. I teach classes on using the interactive whiteboard to other teachers in the county. I am also working collaboratively several people to create a course to on how to use the Promethean to increase rigor and engagement for Social Studies lessons.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love teaching. I taught 3rd grade for eight years before becoming a Library Media Specialist. I got my first job as a library media specialist in 2004. I love my job. It’s fun sharing my love of reading with the students. I enjoy watching them grow from shy and quite kindergarten students to mature fifth graders.
