Class Information:
Students per Class: 17-20
Class Description:
Preschool Intervention Program for ages 3-5. All of my students have been identified with a developmental delay or disability. We have two half day classes. I also have four reverse inclusion typical developing peers that are included into my program.
Position:
Preschool Special Ed teacher
Needs:
We are in need of any kind of technology. One need that I have is a SmartBoard that is rear projection. My little ones just do not understand the concept of standing to the side to avoid the shadow. They have a very hard time with the shadow being in the way when we are using the board. We love the Smart Board but do find the shadow is a problem.
My Philosophy:
I truely believe that all students are capable of learning. Teachers have to find the best way to teach each child. I love my "job" and enjoy every minute I am with the students. Most of my students are not only delayed, but also just enviromentally deprived. So many of them have nothing digital at home and need all the stimulation they can get while in the classroom. I try my best to stimulate and make my classroom a fun and exciting place.
