Literature for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade includes reading novels, short stories, poetry, nonfiction, periodicals, plays, and more We explore setting, characters, plot development, symbolism, foreshadowing, conflict, point of view, irony, mood, theme, imagery, and figurative language.

My Philosophy:
In order to reach all learners, it is important for me to teach to all students (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic). Likewise, it is important for the students to understand their learning styles and be able to apply them in their study.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love to be inspired by my students in the classroom. When I first began teaching it was my goal to make a difference with each student. While I still hold that goal, I also know now that I can learn something from each of my students as well.
