My class has only one computer for 21 students and my LCD projector has quit working. My students are missing out on the technological aspect of today's world.

About Me:
I have lived in Yancey County all my life and have been active in the Youth Sports program. I have been married for 20 years and have 2 children.
College and Degrees:
BS from Mars Hill College NationalBoard Certified Teacher-Middle Childhood Generalist (2004)

Interests:
I love to spend my spare time coaching or helping with softball and baseball activities. I also enjoy scrapbooking my family activities.
Employment History:
I have been working in Yancey County Schools for 15 years in grades 3-5. I currently teach 5th grade at Burnsville Elementary School, the largest elementary in the county.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because children need someone who believes in them. I strive to help children see they are worth the effort.
