Class Description:
I am so lucky to teach such a hard-working, energetic group of first-graders! Their excitement for learning is inspiring and they deserve nothing but the best technology available to make lessons even more engaging and true to the 21st century!

My Philosophy:
I believe that all children can learn in an engaging and safe environment full of hands-on, cooperative, and differentiated learning experiences. To ensure that instruction is authentic and relevant to my students' lives, I also believe that they should have exposure to and use meaningful technology every day.

In May of 2009, I received both my BA and MA in Elementary Education through West Virginia University's five-year teacher education program.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love teaching because it allows me the opportunity to be a positive role model in a child's life. I enjoy encouraging each child to do their best and seeing them progress over days, weeks, and months--this is incredibly rewarding!
