Class Description:
I teach 6,7,8 grade. Each of the 3 have a totally different curriculum. 6th grade Drama is on a wheel, so I teach all 6th graders in the school for 9 weeks. 7th grade is Drama 1, which is Beginning Theatre. 8th Grade is Drama 2, which is Advanced Theatre.

Needs:
We are in dire need of a laptop, as we have no auditorium of our own. Our productions are put on at various schools. With a laptop, we would be able to pre-program and store our lighting and sound plots. This would allow us to take them with us to the schools and eliminate having to reprogram the system at each school.
My Philosophy:
I believe that all students have the right to arts education. As a Theatre educator, it is my reponsibility to provide this opportunity to all interested students. This may happen before, during, or after a regular school day. I need to make myself available to students in many different situations.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching is my passion. I did not realize this until later in my career. Being able to teach Drama is a unique experience. For some of my students, performing is the only thing keeping them in school. It is a rare thing to be able to provide that outlet.
