Class Description:
I teach first grade at a amazingly diverse school. In my class alone, over twenty percent of my students are English Language Learners. Unfortunately, with this diversity also comes some severe poverty. Over thirty-five percent of my students are on the free and reduced lunch program and many more are just above the financial level needed to qualify. Although some of my students come from homes which are financially unstable, all of them love school and they love learning.

My Philosophy:
Learning should be exciting, engaging, and challenge misconceptions. Kids should love coming to school. So, if my kids hate coming to school, then I am doing something wrong!
