Class Description:
We are a regular education classroom, known as the "Critter Cage." Kennedy's Critters are civic-minded and always looking for new ways to help the community.

Personal Information:
About Me:
I am married and have one grown son. I became a teacher later in life. I enjoy my students so much. They make me laugh, and think, daily. What a great job I have!
College and Degrees:
I earned my AA at Jefferson Community College. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from Central Methodist University. I am currently working on my Master's degree through Southwest Baptist University. I have certifications in Early Childhood and Elementary education, and in Communication Arts grades 5-9.
Activities:
I am an avid reader. I love to fish and watch NASCAR. I am also an avid poker player (but not for money). I collect dolls, moose, and trinkets from my students.
Favorite Books:
My favorite books are Frederick, by Leo Lioni, and Jaws, by Peter Benchley.

Interests:
I have a great interest in living creatures and rocks. We can learn so much from observing the things around us.
Employment History:
I have been with the Hillsboro School District for the last thirteen years. I spent the first ten as an instructional aide, while attending college, and the last three in classroom teaching assignments.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love children and want my students to love learning as much as I do. I feel my students are influenced by my zeal in learning new things.
