My Philosophy:
I am not so much a technical person but we have a special ed teacher visit us once a week to assist a special child and all the children gather to join in the games.The excitemment is wonderful and joyous and I would like to be able to engage these moments more often than once per week.

About Me:
I have been teaching prek in Chicago Public Schools for 31 years and I never grow tired. the children energize and enthrall.
College and Degrees:
Northeastern Illinois University for an Early Childhood degree back in 1978 and an Eduacational Administration degree in 1998.
Activities:
I have been active in the Chicago Assn. for the Educationof Young Children in the past as the hospitality conference chair. I was also an Accredtation
Validatorfor NAEYC. I won the Kohl McCormick Teaching award in 2005.
Interests:
Travel, gardening, cross country skiiing and watersports.
Employment History:
My entire teaching career of 31 years has been with CPS. I was out of the classroom for 7 years. First as a Parent resource Teacher and then as a Teacher Resource Teacher, helping parents and teachers to better serve the needs of the young child.
Why Do I Teach?:
It is my passion to hold the young child and help him grow and devlope. I also enjoy collaborating with the parents and sharing in their children's growth.
