Class Description:
As the Library Media Specialist at Harry S Truman High School, I have numerous professional responsibilities.The most important of these is providing support in helping to develop students’ curriculum projects and learning standard for academic achievement. I disseminate information from the library’s print materials and electronic resources and collaborate with teachers in developing inquiry-based learning project. I service 3,500 students with educational challenges, learning disablities and English Language Learners.

Our school librray media center is in it's secornd year of development in resourses. Most of my students come from lower income homes, foster or group homes not having the technology expereinces with computers, cameras of digitals.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is that all children deserve the right to learn and have postive expereinces in making them life long learners.

About Me:
I have been an urban educator in The New York City Department of Education for 19 years holding various positions such as a classroom teacher, AIDP district four facilitator, a school staff developer and presently a Library Media Specialist. I love teaching and making positive changes in children lives. I like learning new things everyday because life has so much to offer use.
