Class Description:
Ready, Set, Teach! I & II - a course for students that want to explore a career in education. They learn about the teaching field and then complete internships at the elementary, intermediate and middle schools. Child Guidance - a course for students that want to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. Students observe and work with Early Childhood programs in the community Human Growth & Development - Students study development from prenatal development through the end of the life span. Students can take the college CLEP test when they complete.

Needs:
My students are required to create and update a portfolio as we progress through the year. Most companies, school districts and colleges only want digital portfolios. I would like to have the equipment needed to help my students create digital portfolios, something they can take with them and build onto using the same format as many of our surrounding programs and colleges. I also want to integrate technology in as many ways as possible as my students are interested in becoming future teachers. They need to know how to integrate technology to not only complete their internship with our class but will need these skills in their own classroom one day.
