Class Description:
Teach all core subject areas in a full day Kindergarten classroom.
Position:
Kindergarten Teacher
Needs:
I teach at a Title One school and we are fortunate enough to have some technology in the classrooms. I received a promethean board in the Spring of 2010 and would like components for this as well as technology for computer needs and accessories for The Flip and any sort of iPod technology.
Personal Information:
College and Degrees:
Bachelors of Arts from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix in Lone Tree, CO.
Activities:
Hiking, skiing, camping, working in my garden and renovating my home, playing with my dogs and enjoying the mountains in Colorado.
Employment History:
1st grade Teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes for The Archdioces of Denver from 2007-2008 1st grade Teacher at Vaugh for APS from 2008-2009, Since the 2009-2010 year I have been teaching Kindergarten at Vaughn.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because of how successful students become over the course of a year. I went into teaching after being in the professional world and love it! It is absolutely amazing to watch students grow and help them succeed. Every year I learn something new and strive even more than the year before!
