Why I need this:
My Students
Teaching in a small school district, I teach a wide variety of students from 9th grade through 12th grade. Due to this, I get to see wide eyed students who are dreaming of doing anything, starting early in their high school career all the way to seniors preparing to go to college. I hope that the experiences they gain in my classroom stick with them for longer than just the school year.
My students are very inquisitive, they are always looking to solve problems both in class and in the real world.
In my classes students get to build and create things to solve problems and accomplish tasks. I often have students asking about things that are even beyond what could be done in a classroom.
My Project
These Chromebooks will allow my students to engage in scientific activities otherwise not accessible in my classroom. With the current school climate, I am worried about students not being able to do group projects and activities I would normally have them do in the lab.
With these Chromebooks, students will be able to engage in activities that will make the school year a little more normal and exciting.
I am hoping to be able to do virtual field trips, labs, and games that my students would normally participate in a hands on way. |
