I teach one Honors World History and four regular world history classes. World History is a freshman level class at Sequoyah and the largest percentage of my students are freshman. I do have a few sophmores and juniors with the occassional senior looking for another history credit scattered throughout.

About Me:
I am a 3rd year teacher at Sequoyah. I am not a young teacher though. I came into teaching after being a Paramedic for 14 years full time and teaching the EMT course at a local community college for 5 years. So I had some teaching experience coming into this adventure.

I enjoy camping and beign outdoors. My favorite thing to do is to visit historic sites. I just purchased a small digital camcorder to document these sites and share them with my students.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because of the HIGH PAY.LOL Actually, I had two of the greatest history teachers one could ever ask for growing up in Mrs. Ealy and Coach Barnett. My career path started out different but I never lost my love for history so when I ended up with a bacholers degree in history. I teach history to try and plant a love for the subject like my teachers did for me.
