Our high school is in the process of redesigning our school and hope the citizens and school board approves the plans January 2010. If approval goes through, a 3 year construction plan will begin. The redesign will expand our existing square footage and accommodate small learning communities to personalize instruction and engage all students. None of the plans or money includes technology equipment which plays such a vital role in student engagement and interest.
Position:
Technology Integration Specialist
Needs:
We have over 150 teachers who are far behind in technology integration due to lack of money for our school. Most programs in the district help the primary grades and our high school is left behind. Our teachers would be thrilled to have any technology that would help engage their students. We have been able to install projectors and larger screens in each classroom and each teacher has a laptop but we would love to have digital still and digital video cameras such as the Flip camera available for our students' use as well as computers for editiing and sharing their work. We only have 3 laptop carts for a total of 60 laptops for our classrooms to share.
My Philosophy:

Involveme and I learn." ~ Benjamin Franklin
